Brentford's on-loan winger Lionel Ainsworth has apologised for his reaction to being substituted.
Winger accepts he may have played last game for club
Lionel Ainsworth has apologised for his reaction to being substituted against Yeovil and accepts he may not play for Brentford again.
The 22-year-old, who is on loan from Huddersfield, stormed down the tunnel after being replaced against the Glovers, prompting Bees boss Andy Scott to say he would never play for the club again.
The winger has now issued a public apology and is waiting to learn if he will be involved in Brentford's final two games of the season.
"I'll be apologising to Andy Scott and my team-mates," he told the
Ealing Gazette.
"I wanted to play on, and didn't feel I was having a bad game, but I took my frustration out in the wrong way.
"It's poor from myself, and I want to apologise to the fans as well for my behaviour.
"I want to play, but if I'm not involved then I'm not involved, and that's the consequence of my actions."
