Manager Jim Bentley told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely made up for Alex as the commission have backed his claim that he won the ball cleanly. I said on Friday that it was a well-timed challenge, we then looked at the video put our case forward and were hopeful of a positive outcome today.
"We can now look forward to the home game versus Barnet this weekend with Alex available for selection."
Conlan's stay has been extended until the end of the campaign, with
the Burnley defender having impressed in his 10 games for the club so far.
Bentley added: "Luke has done very well for us so far and is enjoying getting regular games at this level.
"He is still only young but is improving all the time and we are delighted that he will be with us until the end of the season."
