Stevenage have announced the signing of Joe Martin from Millwall on a permanent deal.
The 28-year-old left-back had already joined the club for pre-season training after his deal with the Sky Bet Championship club came to an end.
Martin made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Lions, having joined two years previously following a spell with Gillingham.
After dropping down to Sky Bet League Two, he told the club website: "I'm delighted to be at the club.
"I'm looking to come here and not hang about in League Two for too long and have a positive season.
"It's a good fit for me and I'm happy to be here."
Later in the day, Blair Turgott became Boro's sixth signing of the summer after impressing at Bromley last season.
The winger scored 12 times in the National League and will add to Darren Sarll's attacking options.
