Newport are in line for an awards double after boss Mike Flynn and striker Frank Nouble were nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager and Players of the Month awards for August.
Flynn inspired County to league safety on a dramatic final day of last season and the club have started this season in fine form, with Flynn guiding them to eight points from four games, despite three of those coming away from home.
Exiles striker Nouble has been prolific in the opening month of the league campaign, notching up five goals and an assist in four games.
His impressive goals tally included a 13-minute hat-trick against Chesterfield, which featured an unstoppable 25-yarder into the top corner.
Crewe's Dave Artell is also in the running for Manager of the Month having led Alex through an unbeaten August, with eight points collected from four games, which included a win at local rivals Port Vale.
Stevenage boss Darren Sarll has galvanised his players after dropping out of the play-off positions in the final weeks of last season, with two victories and two draws to date.
Completing the managerial nominees is Paul Tisdale, with the Exeter boss guiding the Grecians to 10 points from their four opening games as they went top of the table as they too recovered from a frustrating end to the last campaign which saw them lose to Blackpool in the play-off final at Wembley.
Luton striker James Collins has earned a nomination in the Player of the Month Category after an impressive start to life at Kenilworth Road.
His Hatters' career began in emphatic fashion as he bagged a hat-trick in their 8-2 opening day win over Yeovil, since when he has gone on to score against Colchester and Mansfield to make it five in four games.
Accrington hitman Kayden Jackson netted four goals in as many matches during the month to earn his place, while Wycombe full-back Joe Jackson ensures it is not just the goalscorers getting all the credit.
Jackson contributed three goals and two assists to the Chairboys tally for August, including a pair of free-kicks, among them a superb 25-yard curler against Notts County.
The winners in both categories will be announced on Friday.
