Gannon 'delighted' with deal for winger

Stockport County have agreed a deal to bring Kevin Ellison back to the club from Chester City. The winger is expected to arrive at Edgeley Park on loan with a view to completing a permanent move in the summer. Ellison, who played for the Hatters between November 2001 and August 2004, was the subject of failed bids from Wrexham and Bury last week. But he has now accepted a move to Stockport with manager Jim Gannon 'delighted' to have set up a deal for the 28-year-old.

Perfect

"Kevin is an outstanding athlete," Gannon told the club's official website. "He's very, very competitive with great mental strength. "He's also a very skilful player who can play on the flanks or up top. "He's the perfect type of attacking midfielder that we wanted because he can play anywhere across the front four. "I'm delighted to be able to bring him in."
