Temporary boss keen for permanent appointment
John Schofield believes he has the skills to be handed the Cheltenham manager's job on a permanent basis.
Schofield is still in temporary charge of the Robins and has been invited to apply for the role after Martin Allen's departure was confirmed last week.
"I can't get any more footballing qualifications than I have got," he said.
"I hear all the 'cheap option' shouts, but nobody knows what salary I am on, so how does anyone know it's the cheap option?
"If I'm asked to continue doing it, great. If not and another man comes in I am quite adept at doing any job at the football club."
