Former Oldham Athletic and Stockport County defender Adam Griffin is attracting interest from the Football League.

Non-Leaguer Griffin in possible Football League return

Former Oldham Athletic and Stockport County defender Adam Griffin may get his wish of a return to the Football League, with a string of impressive displays for Blue Square Bet North team Hyde FC having alerted him to clubs in the Football League. The East Manchester side are enjoying an excellent season so far and currently top the Blue Square Bet North table at the halfway mark, with Griffin standing out with his attacking style from left-back which has also included a couple of goals from free-kicks. Griffin's agent Rob Shield told skysports.com: "Griff has done well at Hyde and he's enjoying playing in a team who play a fast tempo attacking style. "It was hard initially for him to go part-time after ten years playing in the football league but he still hopes he can return to full-time football if not this season then next." Griffin was named Player of the Year last season at Stockport County before they were relegated from League Two and was hoping his performances at Edgeley Park would help him get a full-time club. He joined Hyde at the start of the season on a non-contract agreement meaning he can move at any time for free.
