Welling forward continuing to attract interest from Football League
Skysports.com understands Hartlepool United have seen a bid rejected for striker Andy Pugh by non-league side Welling United.
Pugh has been in impressive form for the Blue Square South club this season and has attracted interest from the Football League.
The 22-year-old, who made several League appearances for Gillingham earlier in his career, undertook a trial at Leyton Orient last month.
Orient opted against making a bid for Pugh, but League One rivals Hartlepool have stepped up their interest in the forward.
Welling are understood to have knocked back the initial approach from Hartlepool, who parted company with head coach Mick Wadsworth on Tuesday.
