Walsall have announced the signing of Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern on a season-long loan.
Skysports.com revealed on Thursday that the Northern Ireland international was on the brink of moving to the Saddlers.
Walsall boss Chris Hutchings is delighted with the acquisition of the left-back, who he believes will be a success this season.
Hutchings told the club's
official website: "We are delighted to have Ryan on board.
"He is another young lad who we have been monitoring for some time and will be a welcome addition to our squad.
"We know what he is capable of and he comes here keen to gain experience.
"He certainly has pedigree behind him and we are grateful for Manchester City allowing him to come here and continue his footballing education."
