Swindon's Bradley Barry released from hospital after match collision

Swindon defender Bradley Barry has been released from hospital and will be sidelined for at least a fortnight after being knocked out in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Oxford.

Barry, 20, was involved in a collision in the 70th minute during Swindon's 2-0 loss at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday evening and was carried off following a lengthy delay.

Swindon said on the club's official Twitter site: "The club can confirm that Bradley Barry has been released from hospital on Wednesday morning.

"He suffered a severe concussion but his CT scan was clear and he spent a good night at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

All the action from Tuesday's matches in the Southern Section of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

"The club will continue to monitor his condition and he is likely to be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks."

Swindon boss Mark Cooper revealed after the match that he had not had a clear view of the incident.

"Brad Barry is in hospital now in a bad way, so we've got to make sure he's ok," Cooper said.
