Teddy Sheringham is expected to be appointed as the new manager of Swindon Town, according to Sky sources.

The 51-year-old former Tottenham and Manchester United forward will replace Luke Williams, who was in charge last season when they were relegated from League One.

Sheringham had a spell in charge of Stevenage during 2015/16, but was sacked after 33 games.

Swindon will start next season in League Two having been relegated last term after winning only 11 of 46 games.
