Winger sidelined again with hamstring problem
Swindon Town winger Alan O'Brien is to visit a specialist in the hope of returning to first-team action before the end of the season.
O'Brien has been plagued by hamstring problems since joining Swindon from Hibernian last summer and has started only three games in League One this term.
He has not featured since the end of December and picked up another hamstring strain while playing for the reserves in midweek.
The 25-year-old is now due to see a specialist about his injury troubles and Robins boss Danny Wilson is optimistic O'Brien will be back before the campaign is over.
Frustrating
Wilson told the
Swindon Advertiser: "It is a worry, of course it is, and it's back to the original leg now as well.
"He's had problems on both legs and we will have to get him to see somebody who specialises in that field, and get to the root cause of it.
"We need to get to the bottom of it, because at this moment in time it is frustrating for everybody concerned.
"I don't know whether Alan's season is over, because we don't know how bad it is really.
"I would suggest at this moment that no, it isn't the end of his season, but until we get it assessed and get to the root of it then you've got to remain open-minded about it."
