MK Dons vs Yeovil preview
Friday 22 March 2019 10:13, UK
David Wheeler and Baily Cargill are in danger of missing MK Dons' Sky Bet League Two clash with Yeovil.
Wheeler took a blow to the face in the draw with Stevenage and as a result has a nasty wound. Cargill had to be carried from the pitch on a stretcher after falling awkwardly during the same match.
Boss Paul Tisdale said: "We've had a lot of unusual injuries. I'm keeping the door open as long as I can, I can't afford to make any decisions early."
Yeovil boss Darren Way must decide whether to adjust his line-up again in response to a third straight league defeat. Striker Alex Fisher was recalled for the damaging 2-0 loss to fellow relegation contenders Macclesfield but failed to make an impact.
Rhys Browne (hamstring) and Gary Warren (hamstring) are struggling through injury. Midfielder Sessi D'Almeida, however, returns from suspension for the Glovers.
Opta stats
MK Dons have only lost one home match against Yeovil in the Football League (P7 W4 D2), a 0-1 defeat in March 2012 in League One.
Yeovil have avoided defeat in their last two meetings with MK Dons in all competitions, a 4-1 EFL Trophy win in December 2016 and a 1-1 draw in this season's reverse League Two clash.
No League Two side have won more home games this season than MK Dons (12 - also Bury, Crewe, Mansfield and Tranmere), while only Tranmere Rovers (11) have kept more clean sheets at home than MK Dons (10).
Yeovil have failed to score in each of their last three away games in League two (L3), they last failed to score in four consecutive league games in April 2009 (A run of seven in the third tier - D1 L6).
MK Dons' Kieran Agard has scored 18 League Two goals this season; only Tranmere's James Norwood has more (25).
Prutton's prediction
MK Dons have missed the chance to kick on and bolster their position in the top three in their last couple of games, losing to Morecambe and then drawing with Stevenage.
This should be a win for them, though, because Yeovil are in absolutely woeful form and look shorn of confidence.
David Prutton predicts: 2-0 (11/2 with Sky Bet)
