Imps boss quits for personal reasons
Chris Sutton has resigned as manager of League Two strugglers Lincoln City.
The former Celtic and Blackburn man is thought to have tendered his resignation just hours after Lincoln's goalless draw with Burton Albion on Tuesday night.
Sutton is understood to have stood down because of personal reasons with his assistant Ian Pearce also leaving Sincil Bank.
Lincoln have reluctantly accepted Sutton's resignation and they now begin their search for a new manager.
Sutton was something of a surprise appointment as Lincoln manager following the departure of Peter Jackson last October.
The 37-year-old leaves Lincoln in 20th spot in League Two having won just 14 of his 51 games in charge of the club.
