Striker seals Stockport switch

Striker Barry Conlon has become new Stockport manager Paul Simpson's second signing since taking charge at Edgeley Park. The well-travelled forward agreed terms with the club at their Manor Park training ground on Thursday. Conlon has vast experience of playing in League Two following recent stints with Chesterfield, Grimsby, Bradford, Mansfield and Darlington. The 31-year-old, who scored seven goals in 19 appearances for the Spireites in the second half of last season, will act as a target man for Simpson's side. Conlon joins fellow new arrival Mark Lynch with the Hatters as they look to make an immediate return to League One.
