Bristol Rovers have signed Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng on loan until January 2.

The 20-year-old Londoner has made three appearances for Palace, but he joins the Sky Bet League One club after previous loan spells at Crawley and Plymouth.

"The closing of the transfer window later today will see many clubs rushing to complete their business by 11pm, so I am pleased that, with everyone's help, we have managed to make this signing well before the cut-off point," manager Darrell Clarke told Rovers' official website.

"The addition of Hiram will add competition for places within the squad and I think there will be a beneficial effect for all concerned."
