Fry confirms exit of three Ferguson signings
Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has confirmed that the club have parted ways with Daniel Blanchett, Sam Gaughran and Billy Crook.
The trio, who were signed by former boss Darren Ferguson, have left London Road by mutual consent as the club prepares for life in League One.
Defenders Blanchett and Gaughran, along with midfielder Crook, all struggled for first-team opportunities during their time with Posh and subsequently spent time on loan away from the club.
Posh's relegation from the Championship was confirmed earlier this month and new manager Gary Johnson made it clear he planned to reduce the 40-strong squad over the summer.
Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has promised Johnson money to spend on new faces as the season draws to a close, but the club's strict wage policy is likely to limit their potential spending.
