Goalkeeper joins relegated Grimsby

Goalkeeper Kenny Arthur has left Rochdale after a year with the club to join relegated Grimsby. The Scot began his career at Partick Thistle, where he made a total of 290 appearances in 10 years, before joining Accrington in 2007. He then made the switch to Spotland last summer and was part of Dale's promotion-winning squad. Arthur has now linked up with Grimsby on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal. His departure from Rochdale follows those of Rory McArdle to Aberdeen and Chris Dagnall to Scunthorpe.
