Wycombe Wanderers have announced that they have signed Gareth Ainsworth on an 18-month contract.
The former Queens Park Rangers midfielder spent one month on loan at Adams Park in November and impressed sufficiently to earn a permanent return.
Ainsworth left Rangers on Saturday and Wycombe wasted little time in negotiating a new deal before announcing the agreement on their
official website on transfer deadline day.
The 36-year-old could now feature in Wycombe's home meeting with Yeovil on Saturday.
Gary Waddock's side sit 23rd in League One and are five points from safety having played more games than all of their closest rivals.
