Notts County midfielder Rob Milsom has signed a new contract, the club have announced.

The 30-year-old joined the Magpies from Rotherham in the summer of 2015, making 45 appearances in all competitions last season as Kevin Nolan's side finished 16th in Sky Bet League Two.

Details of the length of the deal have not been confirmed but Milsom was pleased to commit his future at Meadow Lane.

"The way the second half of the season went with the new chairman and manager was really good," Milsom told the club's website.

"It's exciting times. My aim at the start of last season was to stay fit and play as many games as possible. My performances improved throughout the campaign so I want to carry that form into next year."

County chairman Alan Hardy added: "It goes without saying that we want to keep our best players here at Meadow Lane - and Rob is certainly one of those.
