Kasper Schmeichel will leave Notts County in style after scooping the Fans' Player of the Year award.

Congratulations to Kasper Schmeichel after the Dane was named the PFA League Two Fans' Player of the Season.
The goalkeeper was at the PFA awards last Sunday to pick up his medal after being named in the League Two Team of the Year but now he has been voted the most outstanding player in the division by Givemefootball fans.
A few weeks ago Notts County boss Steve Cotterill said Schmeichel should be playing in the Championship at the very least and that looks set to be the case after it as announced the young stopper will leave the League Two title-winners by mutual consent at the end of the season.
Schmeichel joined County on a five-year contract in August 2009 as one of the major signings attracted to the club by Sven-Goran Eriksson under the previous owners.
However, despite a string of outstanding performances this term, and County's desire to retain his services, it was decided that the best deal for all parties was to agree a cancelation of the highy-rated keeper's contract.

Club owner Ray Trew said: "To hold out for a transfer fee was too big a risk for this football club. If we were not able to sell him, the value of his contract over the next few years was such that if could have severe financial implications on Notts County's future.
"Kasper has agreed to forgo all his future wages, which is a huge concession by such a young man."
Schmeichel added: "I have had a terrific season at Notts County and thoroughly enjoyed every moment - I'll be the first in the queue for the DVD at the end of the season.
"It is flattering to be linked with other clubs in the press but no-one has made a bid so I'll just have to wait and see. I am sad to be leaving and I'd like to thank the players, staff and in particular the fans who have been fantastic all season."
