James Pearson has signed a contract at Barnet until the end of next season.
The former Leicester defender, and son of ex-Foxes manager Nigel Pearson, arrived at The Hive on a non-contract basis at the start of February.
He has impressed boss Martin Allen sufficiently to be awarded a deal until the summer of 2017, with the Bees having the option of another 12 months after that.
Pearson, who has featured five times for the club so far, told Barnet's YouTube channel: "I'm looking forward to keeping up the good work in the rest of the games this season, then pushing on next year."
