Martin Allen has signed a new contract as first-team manager at Sky Bet League Two club Barnet.
Allen has been in charge of the Bees since March 2014, making him the 14th longest serving manager in the Football League, and is in his fourth spell at the club.
"I feel that we've now got a far better squad than we had last season," he said.
"There has been better recruitment this year, so we're in a good place and are all ready to go.
"Someone asked me how long this contract is for - I don't even know. I think I'm here forever now, God bless."
Bees' chairman Tony Kleanthous, said: "I made it clear during the summer that we needed to make some big signings and that is what we're doing.
"Martin has made fantastic changes at this club - we've made huge strides and great progress since he joined us.
"He took us up into the Football League and now we want to continue that progress."
