Stimson hoping to help Cox realise his potential

Barnet have continued their recruitment drive with the signing of former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Sam Cox on a free transfer. The 19-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at White Hart Lane but was released by the club at the end of last season, can play as a full-back or holding midfield player. Cox has experience of League Two as he spent loan spells at Torquay and Cheltenham during the 2009/10 campaign, and also had a stint with Histon. During his time with the Gulls he made a substitute appearance against the Bees in the 1-1 draw at Underhill in January. Barnet manager Mark Stimson told the club's official website: "He is a young player who has been with a big club and I look forward to helping him develop his potential." Stimson has been busy adding to his squad over the past week after bringing in Ricky Holmes, Glen Southam, Glenn Poole, Anwar Uddin and Danny Kelly.
