Barnet striker Izale McLeod has set his sights on firing the club into League One next season after his goals maintained their Football League status.
The former Derby frontman scored the only goal of their decisive final day clash with Port Vale last season, which sent Lincoln City into the Blue Square Bet Premier instead.
The 26-year-old rediscovered the form he showed as a promising youngster with the Rams after recovering from a serious knee injury, notching 14 goals in just 25 starts for the Bees.
He believes there is still more to come from Barnet, following the appointment of Lawrie Sanchez as their new boss, and is confident they can challenge at the right end of the table next season.
"After about two-and-a-half to three seasons of not playing regular football, with injuries not helping matters, it was great to get back playing week in, week out," McLeod told
skysports.com.
"I made my first start for Barnet in December and since then I've featured in pretty much every game, so it has just been great to play so many games in a short amount of time.
Great atmosphere
"I've not had a bad goal-scoring ratio this season too, but I know that there is more to come from me and I just can't wait for next season to come round.
"All I want to do is play regularly and keep scoring goals, but hopefully be playing in a successful team because no-one wants to be battling against relegation every year.
"Every player wants to be fighting to gain promotion and win championships because there is such a great atmosphere around a club when that happens, so hopefully we can be at the right end of the table next season.
"Lawrie came in for the last three or four weeks of the season and, even though he wasn't the manager at the time, his experience and input was invaluable.
"He has a great track record in this division and that can only be a good thing for Barnet, so hopefully we can kick on next season."
