Chester start planning for life outside the Football League
Chester have parted company with six players following their relegation out of the Football League.
The Blues have started planning for life in the Blue Square Premier by drastically culling their playing staff.
Laurence Wilson, Damien Mozika and James Vaughan have been released, while Ryan Lowe, Paul Linwood and Kevin Ellison have agreed to have their contracts terminated.
City owner Stephen Vaughan told the
Chester Chronicle: "We're looking at a clearout and once that clearout is complete manager Mark Wright will want to bring in the players he has identified.
"James, Damien and Laurence have had their contracts terminated and Ryan, Kevin and Paul have mutually agreed to terminate their deals.
"The remainder of the squad will now be assessed. A lot of them are out of contract and we would expect more movement shortly."
