Bury vs Swindon preview
Friday 29 March 2019 12:37, UK
Bury could name an unchanged line-up for the clash with Swindon as they attempt to extend their 14-match unbeaten run in Sky Bet League Two.
Shakers manager Ryan Lowe appears to have no fresh selection concerns following last weekend's goalless draw at Grimsby.
Midfielders Gold Omotayo and Ryan Cooney and forward Byron Moore are available should Lowe opt to alter his starting XI. Stephen Dawson and Jermaine Beckford will again miss out, owing to respective long-term foot and knee injuries.
Swindon manager Richie Wellens will assess his goalkeeping options ahead of the game at Gigg Lane. Regular number one Lawrence Vigouroux missed last weekend's win over Morecambe after being on international duty with Chile, with Luke McCormick keeping a clean sheet in his absence.
Robins top scorer Michael Doughty, who has managed 11 league goals this term, will continue to miss out due to a hamstring issue. Midfielder Matty Taylor and forward Marc Richards are among those pushing for starts.
Opta stats
Bury have won five of their last six league games against Swindon (D1), including each of the last four in succession.
Swindon have only lost one of their last five league visits to Bury (W3 D1), although this was in their last such visit to Gigg Lane in February 2017.
Bury are unbeaten in their last 14 league games (W9 D5) since a 1-2 loss against Mansfield on Boxing Day.
Swindon are looking to avoid losing three consecutive away league games for the first time since February 2018.
Only James Norwood (26) has scored more League Two goals this season than Bury's Nicky Maynard (18).
