GIGG LANE EXODUS
The Shakers were relegated last year and need to reduce their squad after struggling to pay first division wages.
Chairman Terry Robinson want to start next season with just 20 pros and commented: "The squad needs trimming substantially as we become more realistic in accepting that we are in the second division. I am looking to lose 11 players, creating a squad of young, bright prospects and our established team members."
Midfield duo Nick Daws and Darren Bullock are both being eyed by clubs from the First Division, whilst Chris Billy and Adrian Littlejohn could also be on the move.
"We have never had more scouts at Gigg Lane," said Robinson "It is true I am under pressure to sell and that is widely accepted. My difficulty is trying not to sell cheaply because we do have some excellent players with first division experience."
