Thornley leaves Bury
Bury have released former Manchester United starlet Ben Thornley by mutual consent after nearly two months at Gigg Lane.
The 28-year-old joined The Shakers in early September after impressing player-manager Andy Preece during a trial spell in August.
He signed non-contract terms with his hometown club after spending the summer out of contract following his release from Blackpool at the end of last season.
He went on to make five appearances for Bury but both the player and the club have decided to end their relationship, with Thornley needing to find pastures new for the rest of the campaign.
