Rotherham v Bury preview

Rotherham have Gavin Gunning and Nicky Law back for the visit of promotion rivals Bury.

Millers welcome back duo, Parker may make Bury debut

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore is boosted by the return of Gavin Gunning and Nicky Law for the visit of promotion rivals Bury. Defender Gunning has shaken off a thigh problem while midfielder Law is back in contention after struggling with a groin injury. Dale Tongue is also pushing for a start having came off the bench in Saturday's 1-0 win at Dagenham on his way back from an ongoing stress fracture problem. Striker Drewe Broughton will be in the squad having returned from his loan spell at Lincoln while on-loan Exeter midfielder Craig McAllister is set for his first home start having played at Dagenham and in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Accrington. That was Rotherham's third defeat in four games but the Millers still sit sixth in League Two, two points off the top three.

Shakers news

Bury are level on points with third-placed Notts County and could give a debut to Keigan Parker. The 27-year-old striker has scored two goals in 17 League One starts for Oldham this season and was allowed to join the Shakers this week on a one-month loan deal. Manager Alan Knill is eager to boost his attacking options having scored just once in the last five games, while top scorer Ryan Lowe has been ruled out with a three-match ban. Lowe was sent off in last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Macclesfield so Parker is in contention with fellow loanee Tom Elliott and veteran Andy Morrell to come into the starting line-up. Skipper Stephen Dawson missed the Macc game due to a family bereavement but is available again for the trip to Don Valley. Danny Carlton is still recovering from a long-term Achilles injury while Paul Scott (knee) and Damien Allen (groin) are also out.
