Eddie Howe expects Marc Pugh, Michael Symes and Steve Lovell to be good signings for Bournemouth.

Cherries boss pleased to bring in Pugh, Symes and Lovell

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is confident Marc Pugh, Michael Symes and Steve Lovell will prove to be 'really good signings' for the club. Pugh has joined on a three-year contract from Hereford United, while striker Symes arrives on a two-year deal from Accrington Stanley. Lovell, who is the half-brother of Howe, returns to the club where he started his career having left Partick Thistle in March and he has agreed a 12-month contract. Howe told the Daily Echo: "Marc is someone we have liked for a long time and I thought he impressed in both games against us last season. "I think there was always going to be interest in him because of how well he did last season. He was eye-catching in a good number of his displays." Of Lovell, Howe added: "He is quick, direct and plays on the shoulders of defenders. He is strong and holds the ball up well. He will complement what we have already got in the centre-forward department." And of Symes, Howe said: "He is a good size and very mobile. His movement is good and he is very good technically. He will be a threat both aerially and on the floor. "I am delighted with the quality of player we have been able to bring in. They all have a good attitude, are a good age and are hungry to succeed, so I hope they will prove to be three really good signings."
