Gulls and Silkmen play out thrilling draw
Veteran midfielder Josh Low prevented Bury from closing the gap on first-placed Chesterfield with a brace for Cheltenham.
The Shakers found themselves 13 points behind the league leaders following Chesterfield's 5-0 thumping win over Rotherham on Friday night.
And second-placed
Bury were stunned when they found themselves 2-0 down after just seven minutes thanks to strikes from Robins duo Andy Gallinagh and Low.
Ben Futcher brought them back into the game two minutes later in a whirlwind start to the League Two fixture.
However Low secured the points for
Cheltenham moments after Andy Haworth's equaliser in a thrilling 3-2 encounter.
Third-placed
Wycombe faced a tough game against
Shrewsbury who are hot on their heels in fourth.
Despite the promise, neither could claim the much-needed three points to keep the pressure on the top two as Gareth Ainsworth's header for Wanderers cancelled out a James Collins' goal from inside the box for the Shrews.
Torquay rescued a point in the dying minutes which moved them into the play-off places as they played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with
Macclesfield.
Town found themselves 2-0 up just past the half hour mark when Tyrone Barnett struck the opener with a clinical header and Colin Daniel netted from close range.
Jake Robinson struck from inside the area for Torquay to make it 2-1, but the Silkmen clawed back their two-goal deficit through Hamza Bencherif.
Robinson scored his second of the game from the penalty spot in the 74th minute before Guy Branston converted a last-minute equaliser.
Play-off places
Stevenage moved up to ninth and one point off the play-off places with a 2-1 win over
Lincoln.
Boro had to work for their win however when Ashley Grimes opened the scoring from the spot after Scott Laird was adjudged to have handled in the box in the 33rd minute.
Midfielder Lawrie Wilson smashed an effort into the top right-hand corner of the goal. The 23-year-old then added his second and ultimately the winner on the hour mark.
Gillingham moved up the table into fifth and on equal points with Shrewsbury, despite not breaking down a resilient
Burton outfit who are currently flirting with relegation.
Albion went ahead through teenage striker Sam Winnall before loan star Cody McDonald made sure his Championship employers Norwich did not forget about him with another strike for the Gills.
Accrington moved up the table and closed the gap at the top following a comfortable 3-0 win over
Port Vale.
Sean McConville drove in the first just before half-time before Ian Craney and Andrew Proctor struck late on to make sure of the points at the Crown Ground.
Morecambe's Danny Carlton killed off a struggling
Barnet side with two first-half goals in the battle of the bottom half.
The 27-year-old striker headed his first from close range and finished well for his second to cancel out Mark Byrne's opener for Barnet who remain in the relegation zone.
Another brace
A midtable clash saw
Oxford triumph over
Crewe with another brace in League Two, on this occasion going to James Constable.
The striker netted in both halves much to the delight of the City faithful. AJ Leitch-Smith's 90th minute strike was nothing more than a consolation for Alexandra.
Stumbling
Stockport's woes continued as they were beaten by
Aldershot thanks to a sucker punch at the death and were reduced to ten men.
Substitute Damian Spencer scored in the third minute of injury time after good work from Alex Rodman to keep Stockport, who had Alan Goodall sent-off for a second bookable, two points adrift of Barnet at the bottom.
The game at Valley Parade saw two penalties converted by either side as
Bradford and
Northampton finished all square.
Jake Speight scored from the spot for the Bantams after a Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi handball and Shaun Harrad stepped up to finish well for the Cobblers. City's Jonathan Worthington also received his marching orders in the final minutes.
