League Two preview

Swindon will aim to keep the pressure on League Two's top three after last week's FA Cup giant-killing.

Rocking Robins locked in automatic promotion race

Swindon will aim to keep the pressure on League Two's top three after pulling off an FA Cup giant-killing last week. Swindon not only enjoyed a third straight win in last week's third round but dumped out Premier League strugglers Wigan. Alan Connell equalised in the 2-1 victory with his third goal in three games and he is set to lead the line for the Robins during Saturday's trip to Rotherham. Swindon are fourth, six points off the automatic promotion places and the other Robins - Cheltenham. Mark Yates' men will be hopeful of stretching their unbeaten run to 10 games as they host Aldershot, who are 16th after taking just one point from their last four games. Southend are above Cheltenham on goal difference and travel to second-bottom Northampton unbeaten in three. League leaders Crawley are one point clear and are looking to complete a Bristol double. After knocking Championship side City out of the FA Cup last week they visit managerless Bristol Rovers this Saturday. Ninth-placed Accrington are top of the form table having won six of their last seven and host lowly Barnet on the back of a 10-match unbeaten run. Oxford are up to seventh having gone six unbeaten and are at home to mid-table Crewe this Saturday. Also in the play-off places are Shrewsbury and Gillingham, who will lock horns at the New Meadow with home side Shrewsbury looking for a first win in four.

Relegation battle

At the other end, there is a relegation battle between third-bottom Dagenham & Redbridge and fourth-bottom Hereford. The Daggers are only outside the drop zone on goal difference, with the Bulls just a point better off. Bradford's revival came to a halt at Rotherham last week but they will hope to resume their climb away from danger at home to mid-table Morecambe. One point from three games has seen Burton slip to eighth, a point outside the play-offs, and they will aim to arrest that slump away to bottom club Plymouth. Torquay are two points further back in 10th and visit mid-table Macclesfield, who led Bolton in the FA Cup last week before the Premier League outfit earned a replay with a late equaliser. AFC Wimbledon have slipped to 18th having failed to win in their last 12 games and the Dons visit Port Vale.
