Rochdale and Preston target Shrews forward

Sky Sports understands Rochdale and Preston are eyeing moves for Shrewsbury forward Terry Gornell. The League One rivals are both keen to bolster their squads before the close of the loan window and are keen on Gornell. The former Tranmere and Accrington man has impressed for Shrewsbury since arriving at the club in the summer and has chipped in wih seven goals this season. Rochdale boss John Coleman is a huge admirer having signed him during his time as Accrington boss and the 22-year-old was Stanley's top scorer last season. Preston chief Graham Westley is keen to bolster his attacking options with the Lilywhites struggling for goals since his appointment at Deepdale. Shrewsbury would be loathe to lose Gornell as they battle for promotion, but Rochdale and Preston are hoping the lure of League One football could tempt the highly-rated forward to move on.
