Belgian signs deal until end of the season
Macclesfield Town have signed Francois Kompany, brother of Manchester City's Vincent, until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old left-sider is at home in defence or midfield, and has been training with Town for the last few weeks.
Kompany has previously played all his football in Belgium with the likes of Anderlecht, GBA and Mechelen, but he is now looking to kick-start his career in England.
Macc boss Keith Alexander has now handed him a deal until the end of the season.
"Francois has worked tremendously hard in recent weeks to impress," his agent Peter Morrison told
skysports.com.
"He has done everything asked of him in training and Macclesfield have rewarded him with a contract.
"He will stay until the end of the season and is delighted to be following in the footsteps of his brother Vincent and we all hope he can make a big impact at the Moss Rose."
