Silkmen boss catching the eye
Skysports.com understands Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson is catching the eye of a number of clubs higher up the Football League pyramid.
Simpson has carried on the fine work of Keith Alexander at Moss Rose after replacing him as manager following Alexander's sad death last year.
The 50-year-old has worked wonders on a shoestring budget at the League Two club and they are currently just two points outside the play-off spots after a solid start to the season.
Simpson has also helped develop and bring through a number of promising young players at Macclesfield to help forge his reputation as one of the best coaches in the country.
Simpson's work at Macclesfield has not gone unnoticed and several clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on his progress as they weigh up moves for his services.
