Pool slip up at Wrexham
The game was settled with two Scott Green strikes either side of half time. The Wrexham player netted his first after just three minutes, before completing his brace on 66.
Scunthorpe remained in third with a comfortable 3-1 win over mid-table Rochdale. Paul Hayes opened the scoring for Scunthorpe, before Rochdale replied through Patrick McCourt. Kilford regained the lead for the home side, before Hayes capped an impressive performance with a splendid solo goal.
Bournemouth recorded a 3-1 win over Leyton Orient, with Warren Feeney scoring the goal of the game with a 25-yard screamer on the hour. The first two Bournemouth goals were scored by Leyton Orient players however. First Billy Jones put the ball in his own net on nine minutes, before Matt Joseph repeated the feat on 17 minutes. Lee Thorpe grabbed a consolation for Leyton in the last minute.
Swansea moved off the bottom with a priceless 2-0 victory away to Southend. James Thomas bagged his first goal in five games to open the scoring. Kevin Nugent added a second for The Swans on 64 minutes, only to be sent off 3 minutes later.
Relegation threatened Bristol Rovers lost at home to York, despite going into the game unbeaten in seven games. Darren Edmonson grabbed the vital goal on just before half time.
Rushden consolidated second spot with an away win at play-off hopefuls Bury. Duane Darby scored the winner twenty minutes from time, which takes his team onto 68 points.
Carlisle moved out of the bottom four with a 1-0 win at home to Macclesfield. Mark Birch scored the decisive goal on eight minutes, moving the club up to 19th position.
Exeter dented Lincoln's Play-Off aspirations by with a 2-0 victory. The result was sealed with two first-half strikes courtesy of James Coppinger and Gareth Sheldon.
Torquay remained in tenth spot, with a 1-1 draw away at Hull. Stuart Elliot opened the scoring with a goal for the home side, and it remained that way until the last minute, before Kevin Hill salvaged a point for Torquay.
Shrewsbury threw away a 2-0 lead away to Kidderminster meanwhile. Pater Wilding and Luke Rogers had given The Shrews a two-goal cushion at half time, only for Kidderminster to fight back, largely thanks to Drewe Broughton grabbing a brace for The Harriers.
Cambridge remain in mid-table obscurity following a 1-1 draw at rivals Oxford United. Cambridge took the lead in the first-half through Luke Guttridge, with Jefferson Louis replying for Oxford, who still sit in seventh position.
