Sotnick completes Boston takeover
It ends a long-running takeover deal of the York Street outfit and the Malkinson family's 73-year involvement in the Division Three outfit.
With the takeover, Sotnick will appoint a new board of directors and the businessman took time to thank former chairman Des Wood for his efforts since The Pilgrims came into The Football League at the beginning of last season.
"I am personally delighted with the events and we must now focus on our short-term objectives which are to bring financial stability, growth and of course league status safety," Sotnick told the club's official website.
"My role here will be to make this the 'town's club'.
"Its supporters are of prime importance to me and I intend to make sure that they have every opportunity to have a say in future changes.
"This club going forward will have a strong professional infrastructure to support it and a commitment second to none."
Meanwhile, Sotnick has refused to rule out if former Boston manager Steve Evans may make a return to the club.
Evans is nearing the end of a 20-month FA ban for contract irregularities and has been working for the new owner's human resources consultancy firm in the United States, with speculation that he may be brought back into the club as manager again once his suspension ends on March 3.
Though Sotnick refused to rule out the possibility of Evans's return, he was keen to meet with current Pilgrims manager Neil Thompson before making any backroom moves.
"I can't comment on the possibility of Steve Evans returning to York Street because, at this moment, I have a manager in Neil Thompson and I am happy with him," Sotnick added.
"I want to get to know Neil and I'll be meeting him on Thursday.
"Steve is doing a very good job heading up my company Hemmingway's merchandising division in America."
