Boston defender Austin McCann has signed a new deal to stay at York Street.

Boston defender Austin McCann has signed a new deal to stay at York Street.

McCann has impressed at Boston since his summer switch from Clyde, having been an ever-present in the league this term.

The 25-year-old was happy to sign a new deal to keep him at Boston until the summer of 2006.

"I'm delighted to sign a new deal, I'm enjoying my football here at Boston alongside a good bunch of lads," said McCann.

"Getting it sorted means I can concentrate on my football.

"Hopefully I can keep performing for the team to help us move up the league."

Meanwhile, boss Steve Evans is set to have a look at Arsenal goalkeeper Chris Wright with the player to have a trial at the club.

"We have also had young goalkeeper Chris Wright from Arsenal playing for us lately and we thank Liam Brady at Arsenal for his support," Evans told the club's official website

"Young Wright will be with us for two days this week and we look forward to having a close look at him.‚Ç¥
