White heads for Boston
Boston United have signed defender Alan White from Leyton Orient.
Boston United have signed defender Alan White from League Two rivals Leyton Orient. The 28-year-old's move to the York Street club comes a little over nine months after the player signed for The O's from League One club Colchester United.
The former Middlesbrough and Luton Town defender had signed a contract until the summer of 2006 and he should fill the void left by the sale of Lee Beevers to local rivals Lincoln City.
White is poised to make his Pilgrims debut at Darlington on Saturday, having ironically played his last Orient match against The Quakers at Brisbane Road last Saturday.
Boston manager Steve Evans was delighted to secure the services of White.
"I am delighted to get Alan on board," Evans told the club's official website.
"He was outstanding for Colchester United last season and is a great competitor."
