Boston trial City keeper

Bristol City keeper Clint Davies has joined League Two side Boston United for a trial.

Bristol City goalkeeper Clint Davies has joined League Two side Boston United for a trial this week.

The former Birmingham City and Bradford City custodian is expected to leave Ashton Gate at the season's end.

Davies will appear for Boston's second string against their counterparts from York City, as Pilgrims boss Steve Evans looks for more new faces before the Football League transfer window closes later this month.

As the York Street club look to bring players in, two members of the squad have since left the Lincolnshire outfit.

Defenders Scott Wiseman and Emanuele Gabrieli have moved on from Boston, with Wiseman ending his loan to return to parent club Hull City.

Former Sheffield United man Gabrieli has left The Pilgrims following the expiration of his short-term contract and he is widely expected to return to his native Italy.
