Asamoah drags City off bottom

Chester City moved out of the relegation zone thanks to a 3-1 win at Boston United.

A Derek Asamoah hat-trick sealed the points for the visitors, although 14th placed Boston claimed a late consolation through Simon Rusk.

On-loan Lincoln man Asamoah struck two minutes before the break to open the scoring at York Street.

After the first half the striker continued to influence proceedings as he notched further strikes on 50 and 61 minutes.

Mark Wright's side took a vital step in their bid to avoid the drop but were denied a clean sheet when Rusk rolled the ball home with three minutes left.
