Broughton keen on Boston stay
Drewe Broughton is hoping to win a permanent move to Boston United.
Drewe Broughton is hoping to win a permanent move to Boston United once his loan deal comes to an end.The 28-year-old striker moved to the Staffsmart Stadium on an initial one-month loan deal from Chester.
Despite enduring a horror debut against Wycombe, which saw him sent off on the hour mark, Broughton is keen to stay with Steve Evans' side.
"Hopefully I can earn the right to stay here permanently, because I believe we are better than our league position suggests," he said.
"There is plenty of time to turn things around and we have a superior squad to what the league table says at the moment, so everybody must stay focused."
Meanwhile, Boston have rejected reports suggesting winger Brad Maylett is to leave the club on loan.
Maylett was tipped to join Chester on an emergency loan deal but would appear to be staying with The Pilgrims.
