Macclesfield gave manager Paul Ince a reason to smile, whilst Wycombe beat Bury 4-0.
There were no changes in position for all of the top nine League Two sides, whilst Macclesfield moved further away from the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Peterborough.
Paul Ince's side took the lead late in the first-half as Martin Bullock (45) hit home, before Aaron McLean (50) equalised minutes after the restart.
However, their revival was short-lived as Alan Navarro (53) gave his side the lead for the second time three minutes later.
Macclesfield now sit three points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Peterborough slip into 12th.
Elsewhere, Wycombe thumped Bury 4-0 at Gigg Lane. Tommy Doherty (38) handed Paul Lambert's side the lead late before Scott McGleish (43) doubled his side's advantage minutes later with his first goal for the club.
Tommy Mooney (65) made it 3-0 on the hour mark, before Jermaine Easter added to his goal tally in second-half injury-time.
Bury moved down into 18th in the table, whilst the win gave Wycombe a five point advantage over 8th placed Notts County, solidifying their position in the play-off places.
Notts County slipped further adrift as they were beaten 2-1 at home to League Two strugglers Rochdale.
The Spotland outfit hit a quick-fire double to come from behind, as Jason Lee (53) handed County the lead.
