Gary Locke has been named as the new Raith Rovers manager on a two-year contract.
The 40-year-old, who resigned as Kilmarnock boss in January, replaces Ray McKinnon, who has headed over the Tay Bridge to take charge of fellow Championship side Dundee United.
Rovers finished fourth in the Championship, 19 points behind champions Rangers, and went on to lose out to Hibernian in their play-off quarter-final.
A Rovers statement read: "Gary is a UEFA Pro licensed coach and has more than 25 years experience in top flight football as a player, coach and manager."
Locke who played for both Kilmarnock and Hearts as well as enjoying a spell with Bradford City in the Premier League in 2001-02, was made caretaker manager of Hearts in February 2013 following before taking over permanently at the end of that season.
However, he left in May 2014 when the Tynecastle outfit were relegated following a 15-point penalty for going into administration.
Locke again had a caretaker role at Kilmarnock before being appointed permanently in April 2015 but resigned from his Rugby Park position at the start of this year.
