Scottish League One sides Dumbarton and Airdrieonians both parted ways with their managers on Monday afternoon.

Stevie Aitken was sacked by Dumbarton after more than three years in charge, while Stephen Findlay left Airdrieonians by mutual consent.

Airdrieonians are currently sixth in League One after losing three of their last four games under Findlay - and lost 3-1 at home to Brechin City on the weekend.

A club statement read: "Stephen has worked tirelessly and has been a strong leader for the club during his tenure and we are very grateful for all his efforts.

"The assistant management team will take charge of football matters in the interim period, and the vacancy and potential candidates will be assessed over the coming weeks."
