Keeper hopeful over Parkhead switch

American goalkeeper Dominic Cervi is 'excited' at the prospect of joining Celtic. As revealed by skysports.com the 22-year-old is on the verge of a move to Parkhead after impressing on trial. The giant custodian is available on a free transfer after turning down the chance to join MLS side Chicago Fire. Cervi is hoping to obtain an EU passport through his Italian parents so that he can win a work permit to enable him to seal his move to Glasgow. Celtic have offered Cervi a three-year deal and the keeper is relishing the prospect of linking up with the Scottish champions. "The trial went well, I played well and I guess they liked what they saw," Cervi told the Daily Record. "I'm pretty excited about getting back to the club and things look good."
