Dundee edge past Livingston in round four
Gary Harkins scored the only goal of the game as Dundee edged past Livingston in round four of the Scottish Cup.
Harkins blasted home from long range 12 minutes before half-time to put the visitors in front at Almondvale.
Livingston had a chance to level from the penalty spot soon after, but Liam Fox's weak effort was comfortably saved by Derek Soutar.
In the night's other game
Stirling were made to battle hard before sealing a place in the fifth round courtesy of a 3-1 triumph over
Albion Rovers in their replayed tie.
Two goals from Michael Mullen and one from Paul Murphy handed the second-division side victory in the fourth-round replay, but the visitors, who briefly levelled through Pat Walker, can consider themselves unfortunate after seeing a host of opportunities go begging in the first half.
