Former Bhoys winger lands role alongside new boss
Alan Thompson has joined Neil Lennon's backroom staff at Celtic as their new first-team coach.
Lennon was announced as the Glasgow giants' permanent manager last week and the 36-year-old will link up with his former team-mate to take up the post.
Thompson spent seven years as a player at Parkhead between 2000 and 2007 before departing for Leeds while they were in League One.
The former England international made his first foray into coaching as head of Newcastle United's academy operation before leaving to return north of the border.
Thompson will be unveiled at a press conference on Thursday afternoon.
