Youngster set to feature next term

Hibernian have handed teenager David Crawford his first professional contract at the SPL club. The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a one-year deal and will look to catch the eye of manager Colin Calderwood. Crawford will feature for Hibs' Under-19 squad, who are set to take on Rangers in the Scottish Youth Cup semi-final on Saturday. Hibs, who currently sit ninth in the SPL, will look to utilise the youthful winger next season. "I'm just really excited about being part of the first-team squad next season," said Crawford. "I'm dead chuffed and now I just want to keep working hard and progress."
